# Using Distribution
> Open or close every channel package fast, and change availability and rates in real time.
## **Changing sell status**
Sell status is quick to change.
1. **Click the Stop sell area on the date you want and the sell status flips.**
* Drag left or right to change several dates at once.
2. **Press `Save` at the top to commit everything you changed.**
* Saved changes are pushed to the channels together.
* One exception: while sync is stopped, nothing reaches the channels. Check the sync state first.
**When you change sell status on a parent item and a child item already has its own setting, you choose whether to keep that setting or overwrite it with the parent's.**

## **Changing availability**
Availability is quick to change.
1. **Click the availability area on the date you want and type how many rooms you want to sell on the channel.**
* Drag left or right to change several dates at once.
* Go past what you can actually sell (the number of rooms in the room type) and it is flagged as over-availability.
2. **Press `Save` at the top to commit everything at once. Saved changes are pushed to the channels together.**
* While sync is stopped, nothing reaches the channels. Check the sync state.

## **Adjusting rates for every room at once**
Rates across the board are quick to change.
1. **Click the rate adjustment area on the date you want.**
2. **Set the markup or discount you want and every room rate for that day moves together.**
* By amount: adds to or subtracts from the package rate.
* By percentage: raises or lowers the package rate by a set percentage.
* Extra amount on top: add or subtract a further amount.
3. **You see the final price before it applies.**
4. **Press `Save` at the top to commit everything at once. Saved changes are pushed to the channels together.**
* While sync is stopped, nothing reaches the channels. Check the sync state.
**Adjusting rates for every room, or for one room type, in one go.** Every package moves except those on a locked rate or a fixed rate. Packages with a rate range only move within that range.

## **Adjusting rates for one room type**
Room type rates are quick to change.
1. **Click the rate adjustment area on the date you want.**
2. **Set the markup or discount you want and the rates for that room type move together.**
* By amount: adds to or subtracts from the package rate.
* By percentage: raises or lowers the package rate by a set percentage.
* Extra amount on top: add or subtract a further amount.
3. **You see the final price before it applies.**
4. **Press `Save` at the top to commit everything at once. Saved changes are pushed to the channels together.**
* While sync is stopped, nothing reaches the channels. Check the sync state.

## **Changing a rate**
1. **Click the package rate area on the date you want.**
* Drag left or right to copy the rate weighting across dates, or set them all to the same amount.
2. **Press `Save` at the top to commit everything at once. Saved changes are pushed to the channels together.**
* While sync is stopped, nothing reaches the channels. Check the sync state.

## Changing check-in/out times
The check-in/out times set per package and per weekday can be overridden on a specific date.
1. **Click the check-in/out time on the date you want.**
* Change every package together, or one at a time.
2. **Press `Save` at the top to commit everything at once. Saved changes are pushed to the channels together.**
* While sync is stopped, nothing reaches the channels. Check the sync state.
