# Can I change the billing date while part of my subscription is scheduled to end?

> No. While a change or cancellation is scheduled for the next billing date, the billing date is locked until that change takes effect.

  You keep the current subscription until the next billing date, and the change applies from the following subscription period. Until then the subscription sits in a "change pending" state, and the billing date cannot move.

  Cancel that part of the service immediately and the billing date is free to change. You are refunded for the unused period, the subscription updates on the spot, and the billing date can move with it.
