For properties that can set remaining allotment per package on the Tripdotcom room calendar, connecting a channel manager switches the allotment basis to room type automatically.
- In that switch, per-package inventory merges into room type inventory, the remaining allotment resets, and Stop sell applies. If your property sets allotment per package, read the examples below first.

Without a Tripdotcom account, tell Tripdotcom you are going to connect the VENDIT channel manager and they can set you up connected from the start.
- 🙋♂️ Already using Tripdotcom? On the Rooms & rates > Calendar screen, take a screenshot or a photo showing the rate plans and occupancy, as in the examples.
- If your rate plans run on separate inventory, that inventory can reset before the channel manager connects, so the eBooking inventory setup needs checking.

Tripdotcom is a channel that syncs only bookings created or changed after the channel connects.Connect VCMS while already using Tripdotcom and bookings made before the connection do not sync. Those you manage yourself.Tripdotcom bookings created or changed after the VCMS connection sync normally.
